Deluxe Double Annex Camper Tent (DLX) 2010
$3,750.00
XTRAIL Deluxe camper trailer tent DLX

The XTRAIL Deluxe Double Annexe Camper Tent (DLX) is designed for a family of 2–5 with an optional kids’ room at the back. The rear annexe provides an extra covered entertainment area next to the drawbar. However, you don't need extra campsite space to put it all up. Both the front and rear annexe come with a full three-piece wall to form an enclosed annexe. In summertime, the rear annexe roof serves as an insulation layer for the kids’ room to keep the rear room cooler.

This specially designed tent allows the user to install it onto their trailer in any flip direction. On 2010 model, the rear room provision is built on both sides so that optional rear room can be attached regardless of which flip direction you choose. (kids room attachment provision is not available on 2011a double annex model)

The Deluxe Double Annexe tent can fit up to 10 people if required. This is the eighth revision of the tent. Many of the issues have been addressed and resolved. The deluxe model is for the family who require a separate area/room for kids, or who often travel with friends.

Features

  • 13oz waterproofed poly canvas with double coating on both sides
  • 2.7m to allow water to run off the roof much quicker. Also, a higher roof will reduce the temperature inside the tent in summertime
  • The front and rear annexe provide an extra covered area for covered storage and entertainment without the need for extra campsite space
  • A provision to add optional rear room for kids or companion travellers
  • Three inline doors with mesh to promote excellent ventilation in summer. These also allow you to access the drawbar toolbox directly rather than going around the tent
  • Internal and external window covers on all main tent and rear room windows – no need to close the window from outside
  • Main tent windows with half clear PVC and half mesh – when raining, roll up half the internal window cover, and you still get natural light without rain getting into the tent
  • Sewn-in PVC bucket floor on the main tent and optional rear room
  • Two bed drop openings with mesh screen for easy access to side storage as well as being a ventilation spot in summer
  • 1200mm bed drop height to suit both off-road and on-road trailers
  • Redesigned main tent frame work – much easier to set up
  • All external window covers can be set up as an awning for shade and privacy
  • Heavy-duty big-teeth zippers used all around
  • Large-size heavy-duty PVC cover with zipper and Velcro, plus additional dust cover inside
  • The travel cover size allows you to leave your bedding inside when packing up, or change to a thicker innerspring mattress without changing the travel cover size
  • lift-up hatch panels under the mattress allow you to access the trailer compartment after the tent is up
  • A privacy screen on the bed is supplied as standard
  • Four side Velcro fitted PE floor for the annexe is supplied
  • Frame bends are reinforced for extra strength
  • Detachable annexe roof for a quick stopover allows you to set up only the main tent in around 10 minutes
  • Both front and rear annexe wall are a three-piece design, meaning you can put up any piece as you need. Walls are joined with a zipper and Velcro flap. (The above photo shows a full wall on the front annexe and only a one-piece wall on the rear annexe)
  • Window flaps on the annexe wall can all be set up as an awning for extra covered area
  • The tailgate cover has Velcro-fitted opening for the tailgate to swing out, without the need to remove the whole tailgate cover
  • Ropes with spring, pegs, poles and bars are packed in canvas carrying bags with zippers
  • Aluminium ladder and 80mm high-density foam mattress are provided
  • Roof spreader bars to avoid water pooling on the roof
  • A quality designed and featured import tent that stands out from all other import tents

Temperature Control Technology

The color combinations are designed carefully by using darker color on roof to block radiation from sun which contributes the high temperature. It is not difficult to understand that when standing under hot summer sun in noon time, you feel more comfortable to stay under darker shelter. The darker the shade, the cooler you will feel. Think about sun shelter, eg sail, darker shade will make you feel cooler simply because less radiation penetration.
.

In summer time, sun ray casts mainly on roof. Darker fabric will block more radiation and UV from sun light, thus to keep the tent cooler.

During winter, sun ray casts mainly on walls of the tent, lighter wall fabric allows more radiation penetration so that the tent is warmer than those with darker wall fabric.

XTRAIL strives to develop tents suitable for Australia by applying building science into design. Integration of science and visual design makes XTRAIL tents to be the most popular tents.
